The Online School Locator
LOCATORTM makes it easy for families to find their local elementary, middle or high schools. They simply visit
www.LocateMySchool.com, key-in a street address, and receive a list of schools serving that address.
LOCATOR can be accessed directly via the internet or linked to your district website for seamless access.
Either way, with LOCATOR you provide a convenient online resource that connects your schools to
the communities they serve.
One-click access
At the heart of LOCATOR is a relational
database to store, retrieve and report
street, address and school attendance area
information. When an address is entered,
the elementary, middle and high school
are listed for that address.
Common database
LOCATOR software is available as a
part of the MasterPlan suite of software
applications from Planware Systems.
It accesses the same database as
ONPASS® and DISPATCHTM, and is included
automatically with those products.
It is also available as a standalone
package without ONPASS or DISPATCH.
LOCATOR data preparation can be done by
Planware Systems or the school district.
Integrated solution
“LocateMySchool.com
allows parents and
other members of
our rapidly growing
community to stay
informed of the
schools that their
students attend.
It has become
integral to our
daily operation.”

Brentwood Union School District
LOCATOR reports attendance boundary
information produced by ONPASS
boundary simulations. When schools are
opened or closed and boundary changes
are made, street information is updated
and saved to the LOCATOR database.
Present year and next year's boundary
changes can be shown.
Instant directories
ONPASS and DISPATCH interact with LOCATOR street data to calculate and print school and
district street directories. Individual schools, groups of schools or all schools can be selected
for printed reports. If a school boundary splits a street, the even or odd address range is in
each school’s report. Street directories can be exported in a variety of formats for district
use. When using the web site www.LocateMySchool.com, the user can select a school to
view and print a street and address listing for that school.
The user can also select a district street directory to list streets in alphabetical order with the
address ranges specific to each elementary, middle and high school. Even and odd address
ranges are indicated where streets are assigned to multiple schools.
