Art Fallon of Burlington Public Schools says the district saved months of detailed data preparation using the MasterPlan software. According to Mr. Fallon, "The goal of our redistricting project was to impact as few students and families as possible, while balancing elementary enrollments. With MasterPlan we were able to very quickly create 20 different scenarios, and see how each one would impact students, class sizes and the number of classrooms necessary to accommodate those students." Using MasterPlan, Burlington Public Schools was able analyze the 20 scenarios first developed and easily determine which option was going to disrupt the fewest children. With the reports and maps the system is capable of generating, the school committee were able to see clearly that the redistricting plan presented by the district's planning team was the best option.
